Welcome to the Bluedialog

Updated: Oct 30, 2023

Bluedialog's mission is to provide Microsoft Power Platform consulting services to organizations that recognize the value and benefits of low and no-code development. Bluedialog's consulting services include developing new apps for organizations and helping citizen developers achieve app development proficiency either as a standalone group or as part of a fusion team.

My name is Alan Campbell and I am the founder and CEO of Bluedialog. Here is a little about myself. I have worked in IT at distribution and manufacturing companies. I have also been blessed with working in many roles for Microsoft partner organizations. I started my career in a heads down developer role banging out code, but I have also worked in entrepreneur, manager, project manager, business analyst, and sales executive roles.

This is the third business that I have created. Prior to this business I successfully built and sold two businesses over a 21 year period of time.

With the advent of Bluedialog I have returned to my roots creating intellectual property in the form of application software (apps). This time the tools have changed and I am using Microsoft's no or low-code Power Platform.

I fell in love with the Microsoft Power Platform after first experimenting with it in 2016. From that point forward I used it to build new internal business systems for organizations. If the business needed a new software solution then my first choice was the Microsoft Power Platform.

But, why use the Power Platform over traditional development approaches? I have a background in software development. Wouldn't a traditional approach make more sense? I choose the Power Platform because of two reasons.

The first reason was the project often needed to be done NOW! The organization could not wait 6 months for a developer. The business needed to plug a gap as soon as possible in order to stay competitive. Microsoft Power Platform app development can be done in less time than using traditional methods.

The second reason was the platform needed to continue to be agile after the go-live. Rapid changes in the marketplace, the business, or even new partner agreements from Microsoft can require organizations to immediately retool business rules, business processes, and software apps. The Microsoft Power Platform allows a business to innovate rapidly and quickly meet changing demands.

Come and join me on the Microsoft Power Platform adventure!
